MEDLOG’s State-of-the-Art Cold Storage Facility Boosts U.S. Meat Exports

Cold Summit is proud to provide build-to-suit services for MEDLOG’s state-of-the-art cold storage facility in Savannah, Georgia. This 291,000-square-foot facility will significantly enhance U.S. meat exports, offering 20,000 freezer/cooler pallet positions and processing up to three million pounds of blast freezing per day.

Designed for efficiency and sustainability, the facility will feature rail cargo capabilities, 42 loading docks, and a 1.5-megawatt rooftop solar array, supplying 10% of its energy needs. Cold Summit’s expertise ensures seamless execution, positioning this as the first U.S. cold storage facility targeting BREEAM™ certification.

Expected to be operational by mid-2025, this project strengthens global food logistics while creating over 100 jobs in Savannah.
