In 2020, Cold Summit delivered the first speculative, multi-tenant flexible cold storage facility, setting a new industry standard. Our modular, scalable cold storage solutions allow for dynamic temperature adjustments, maximizing operational flexibility. Cold Summit is committed to driving energy efficiency in cold storage. Our proprietary refrigeration and Building Management System (BMS), launched in 2020, delivers 30% greater energy efficiency than conventional systems. In 2021, we became the first cold chain developer to partner with EnergyStar™, ensuring our facilities rank in the 90th percentile for energy performance.

In 2021, Cold Summit patented the Insulated Joist Pocket System, enabling efficient dry warehouse conversions into cold storage facilities. This groundbreaking retrofit technology allows for the rapid expansion of cold storage capacity in existing warehouses, reducing construction time and capital investment.

In 2025, we partnered with industry leaders to develop the ATLAS BLAST TOWER™ System, the industry’s first retrofit-compatible solution for both blast freezing and tempering. Designed for seamless integration into existing facilities, ATLAS enhances processing speed while significantly reducing energy consumption. Its modular design improves operational efficiency, lowers utility costs, and sets a new standard for high-performance, scalable cold storage processing.
